Electronics Engineer (2-3 yrs)
Title : Electronic Engineer
Objective :
- We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our team on a project contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for modifying and designing 2 layer PCBs, soft and hard validations, and creating testing procedures for QA. The Electronics Engineer will work remotely and report to the technical lead for the project.
Responsibilities/Duties :
- Design, update and validate PCBs to meet required specifications. Specifically 2 layer designs using popular microcontrollers and simple components.
- Research component availability on online vendor catalogues, find appropriate design schematics and either find or design PCB & CAD footprints for chosen components.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Senior Engineer to deliver engineering solutions
- Be able to compile and deploy custom firmware to the microcontrollers on board the PCB.
- Develop effective maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures
Qualifications/Education/Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in electronic engineering
- Knowledge and practical experience in using KiCad for PCB design, including creating high-quality traces and footprints.
- Proficient in using the Linux shell.
- Familiar with at least one programming language, preferably C, C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with electronic design automation (EDA) tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle)
- Experience with circuit design to meet CE EMI/EMC testing standards
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Reporting Structure :
- The Electronics Engineer will work remotely and report directly to the tech lead.
