Salary Budget: CTC 13 LPA to CTC 18 LPA
1. JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Engine Design Engineer with a strong background in engine architecture and sub-system development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of engine variations, belt drive systems, and auto-tensioner mechanisms, and will be responsible for the design, validation, and integration of these systems into various engine platforms.

Details of Responsibilities
1 Lead the design and development of engine front-end accessory drive (FEAD) systems including belt layout, routing, and auto-tensioner solutions.
2 Work closely with the engine architecture and packaging teams to ensure compatibility across engine variants.
3 Conduct design reviews, FMEAs, and root cause analysis for durability, NVH, and performance issues.
4 Define and validate tensioner performance including spring, damping, and belt tension management.
5 Support CAE/CFD analysis and validation of belt and tensioner systems under various operating conditions.
6 Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and durability targets.
7 Drive continuous improvement in design and manufacturing for cost, weight, and efficiency.
8 Deep understanding of FEAD system architecture, belt tensioning mechanics, and NVH behavior.
9 Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA, NX, or similar) and familiarity with PLM systems. Should also have proficiency in Sim Drive.
10 Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
11 Experience in supplier coordination, validation, and PPAP processes.
12 Good knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and GD&T.
13 Excellent communication and project management skills.
14 Experience engine accessory systems and Exposure to global automotive OEM processes and standards.
