Job Role :
1. Technically proficient in matters of Engine Design - for Diesel Engines in the area of structure/FIE/Air handling/EATS.
2. Work on New Development of Engines keeping in view Fuel Efficiency, costs and Emission norms.
3. Be accountable for proper design review and selection of manufacturing process.
4. Resolving current design related issues with regard to Engines by enforcing a systematic and thorough Design Process.
5. Be accountable for proper utilization of design, simulation and analysis software to develop solutions.
6. Proactive participation in helping superiors in annual budgeting and controlling the project expenses as per the budget plan.
7. Ensuring updated Design standards. Release of Engineering Orders and other such activities.
8. Inculcating excellence in all the activities of the department.
Desired Competency :
1. Excellent skills of Design tools like DFS, DFMEA, DFA, QFD etc
2. Excellent clarity on Engine Fundamentals in the area of structural/FIE/Air handling/EATS.
3. Excellent design and concept preparation knowledge to support the team with design review.
4. Fundamental knowledge on Design and Analysis software eg : AVL Excite, Boost, Fire etc.
5. Excellent knowledge on Different Automotive Engines in the industry, their limitations, strengths and relevant information.
6. Very good knowledge on manufacturing process for selecting the design concept.
7. Good knowledge of Vendor base and skills on negotiations.
