Profile : Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Metal Power Plant)

Qualification : B.Tech-Mechanical

Experience : as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Power Plant.

Role & responsibilities : 

- Regularly inspect and assess the condition of mechanical equipment such as turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, and conveyors.

- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and diagnostic tests to identify potential issues.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and calibration.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.

- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure swift repairs and minimal downtime.

- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and components for mechanical systems.

- Order and procure spare parts as needed and keep track of their usage.

- Identify opportunities for optimizing equipment performance and efficiency.

- Implement modifications and improvements to enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.

- Ensure that all mechanical equipment and systems adhere to safety standards and regulations.

- Conduct safety inspections and address any safety-related issues.

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition.

- Generate maintenance reports and provide updates to management.

- Train and supervise maintenance technicians and staff in proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

- Assist in the development of maintenance budgets and monitor expenses to control costs.

- Investigate the root causes of equipment failures and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.

- Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or breakdowns, to minimize downtime and ensure plant safety.

- Ensure that mechanical equipment complies with environmental regulations and standards, such as emissions control and pollution control systems.

- Develop and manage reliability programs to assess the performance and lifespan of mechanical equipment and predict maintenance needs.

- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and cost-effective service.

- Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering and power plant technology to implement best practices.
