Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Associate (Scale-up Operations) to join our dynamic Contract manufacturing team. This role involves working at the intersection of pilot-to-plant transition, process optimization, and commercial production of fine and specialty chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct trials and process optimization, for existing and new product lines

- Work closely with Contract Manufacturing production teams to ensure desired throughput, yield and quality of batches.

- Maintain accurate records of Batch cycle time, quality paramters, and process conditions

- Support evaluation of raw materials and intermediates with regard to yield, purity, and cost

- Participate in troubleshooting plant-level challenges arising during scale-up

- Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and quality protocols during scale-up activities

- Generate SOPs, batch records, and process validation report

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field

- 2- 6 years of experience in R&D scale-up, pilot plant operations, or process development in the chemical, pharma, or specialty materials sector

- Solid understanding of reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and process controls

- Familiarity with equipment like reactors, condensers, distillation units, and filtration systems

- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills

- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, QA/QC, production, and supply chain teams

Good to Have:

- Experience working with hazardous or sensitive reactions

- Knowledge of green chemistry and sustainable process design

- Exposure to continuous or flow chemistry systems
