Engineer/Senior Engineer - Chassis System (4-8 yrs)
Job Specification & Title:
Department: BOF (Body on frame) Suspension System
Position: Engineer / Sr. Engine: Chassis System
Experience: 4 to 8 Years
Location: Chennai / Pune
Job Responsibilities :
- Detail design of sub-systems of Suspension systems like Air springs, Bushes, Coil Spring & Bump stopper.
- Creation of SOR/RFI documents for proprietary parts if required
- Review the sub systems with supporting CAD engineer/s
- Conduct GD & T, DFMEA & DVP- spreparation & evaluation.
- Supplier handling & management throughout the part development process.
- Participate in project discussion with represent the system infront of leadership & other stakeholders.
- Provide inputs to cross function team and continuous follow up with team for the closure of points
- Participate in DMU review
- Root cause analysis of build,testing & production issues and implementation of suitable solution
Educational Qualifications
Required:
- B.E., /B.Tech., in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering with 4 - 8 years of experience.
Experience Required:
- Work experience in Passenger Cars, Pick-up truck category.
- Hands on experience in Team-center working environment.
- Experience in Passenger/Pick-up segment sub- systems like Air springs, Bushing, Coil Spring, Bump stopper etc.
- Sound knowledge about Design calculations, CAE Load case and result evaluation.
- Good knowledge on Sheetmetal and Casting material grades, manufacturing processes and different material grades used for automotive applications.
- Knowledge in BOM, GD&T, DFMEA, DVVP & DFA
- Customer interaction'
Skill Set Required:
- Team center (Primary Software Skill)
- Knowledge of UG-NX
- MS Office tools
- Strong communication & Interpersonal skills
