Essential Duties And Responsibilities :

1) Review and assess supplier processes.

2) Identify quality issues.

3) Maintain documentation and reports.

4) Provide technical guidance and assistance.

5) Communicate with suppliers and senior management.

6) Ensure that products / processes supplied are managed in accordance with all specified product quality requirements and ensuring that timely and accurate information is made available to all affected parties

7) Visit suppliers on a proactive & regular basis to report performance and review systems and perform on-site supplier process audits for all high impactsuppliers

8) Coordinate for deviation requests and ensure proper approvals and tracking of material under deviation Position Description Statement

9) Manage supplier corrective actions and timely 8D closures, ensuring a thorough root cause analysisis performed, to eliminate possible recurrence of defects.

10) Maintain supplier records in accordance with documented requirements & track supplier performance in accordance with defined guidelines

11) Co-ordinate with suppliers to identify Root causes by 5 Why analysis & Counter measures, also understand Supplier yield progress

12) Establish optimum supplier's product / process efficiency and quality

13) Manage supplier corrective actions and ensuring thorough root cause analysis is being performed to eliminate possible reoccurrence (Verification at the supplier sites should be considered for significant concerns)

14) Conduct detailed supplier APQP reviews using cross-functional teams for all outsourced products prior to approving PPAP

15) Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.

16) Support the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.

17) Ensure compliance to RoHS, REACH and Conflict Minerals statutory requirements.

18) Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.

19) Manage and coordinate supplier Parts Per Million (PPM), supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators.

20) Lead quality audits.

21) Support and lead process improvement activities at the supplier.

22) Undertake special projects as required.

23) Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

24) Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers.

25) Execute, monitor, review and improve supplier score card on regular basis.

Functional Competencies :

1) Strong know-how of Machining, Stampings, Plastics and Electronics parts (knowledge of different commodities e.g. sheet metal, machining, adhesives, molding etc.)

2) Hands-on experience in part validation (PPAP) and Quality tools

3) Strong expertise in Process Development at Supplier

4) Ensure compliance to RoHS, REACH and Conflict Minerals statutory requirements.

5) Exposure to Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques

6) Working proficiency in usage of MS-Office Tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

7) Understand Engineering drawings and documents

8) Well conversant with implementing standards & Quality Systems like DIN, ISO, TS16949, OSHAS etc.

9) Working knowledge of ERP (Oracle / SAP etc.)

Education And/Or Experience :

- Diploma (with Exp. of 10+ Yrs) / BE (with experience of 7+ Yrs) with a minimum 5 Years of experience in Stamping
