Engineering Manager (10-15 yrs)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan engineering deliverables, prepare Master Drawing Lists (MDL), monitor SCADA engineering progress, and ensure timely completion.
- Lead tender and detailed design of SCADA/SAS systems for AC/DC traction power systems, including Aux. power.
- Prepare SCADA network diagrams, IO lists, BOQs, and detailed engineering deliverables for RSS, TSS, ASS, OCC, and BCC.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, contractor submissions, and design documents for compliance.
- Ensure adherence to client requirements, codes, and standards (IEC, EN, ISO, Indian Standards).
- Provide value engineering and optimization solutions; conduct workshops for best practices.
- Interface with signaling, rolling stock, power supply contractors, and SCADA vendors for design integration.
- Lead mid-size design teams, guide engineers/draftsmen, and ensure effective manpower planning.
- Provide technical support to site execution and commissioning teams.
- Support pre-bid design by reviewing tender documents, preparing optimized BOQs, and participating in technical discussions.
- Assist BD teams with cost-effective engineering solutions and tender presentations.
- Develop O&M manuals and conduct training sessions for client personnel.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in SCADA/SAS design, detail engineering, and implementation for railways, metros, and substations.
- Knowledge of OCS systems (25kV AC, 750/1500V DC, 33kV Aux. power).
- Proficiency in SCADA protocols (IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, MODBUS, IEC 101) and cybersecurity standards (NIST 800-82).
- Hands-on experience with protection relays, RTUs, IEDs, BCU/BCP, CRP, and SAS systems.
- Experience in vendor coordination, integration with RCC/OCC, and redundant communication networks.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Indian Railway ACTM, RDSO standards, and experience with RVNL/CORE/Metros/DFCC/RRTS preferred.
