JOB DESCRIPTION - ENGINEERING MANAGER STRUCTURAL, NAVAL AND CSE

- Develop the Structural, Civil, Naval Architecture and Construction Support Engineering disciplines in all respects (Offshore Fixed Platforms, Renewables, Offshore Rigs, Onshore projects and any other business need).

- Provide technical expertise and guidance as a SME on EPCI/EPC/FEED/Detail Design Bids/projects.

- Responsible for functional scope and delivery of Structural, Civil, Naval Architecture, Fabrication Engineering and Construction Support Engineering activities during the bids and proposal stage and during the various phases of project execution including FEED, detail engineering, procurement engineering, fabrication, offshore transport, offshore installation and hook-up.

- Provide support to other engineering disciplines for the common or interrelated scope of work.

- Develop Work procedures and guidelines for Structural, Civil, Naval and CSE disciplines.

- Co-ordinate with other engineering offices for successful execution of projects and bids

- A key member of Engineering Team reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager / Engineering Director.

- Manage the engineering functions of Structural, Civil, Naval Architecture, Fabrication Engineering and Construction Support Engineering disciplines.

- Develop and structure the engineering capabilities for the disciplines in line with the strategic objectives of organization, in coordination with other engineering offices.

- Lead a multidisciplinary team comprising structural, civil, naval architects, construction support engineers, designers, drafting and nesting and material management professionals

- Setting & managing department objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) & budget and aligning these to the requirements of management

- Develop and update the procedures for the discipline as part of the Group Management System.

- Recruit competent resources (Engineers and designers), as per the organization plan and strategy, in consultation with Senior Engineering Manager.

- Ensure client's engineering requirements are identified and understood and ensure that the Disciplines meet the contractual obligations from an engineering perspective in all required aspects.

- Promote innovation, optimization, trainings, knowledge sharing and teamwork.

- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities. Implement Safety in Design.

- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including Project Managers, PEMs, Fabrication Managers, T&I Managers, Hook Up Managers, and other discipline leads, Proposals, Quality, Operations, Procurement managers, External stakeholders such as clients, vendors, subcontractors, and yards

- Review and approval of various identified Key engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) during the life of project. High level involvement in the constructability reviews, quality audits, review of third party studies, execution plans, bid estimation, etc .

- Review and approval of Key High Value Material Requisitions, Purchase specifications, Purchase requisitions, Technical bid Evaluation and Vendor documents.

- Attend project and engineering review meetings as required, Value Engineering work shops etc.

- Responsible to drive change management & risk identification within the disciplines and in Engineering department.

- Oversee multiple projects and ensure design deliverables are delivered within approved budget and schedule.

- Manhour estimate, manpower forecast, manpower planning, recruitment, mentoring, training and team development

- Ensure adherence to Quality Systems Procedure as per LGMS.

- Developing strategies for continuous improvement of knowledge base, cost consciousness, quality and safety in response to demands of EPC business.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.

- Functional KPI for discipline and engineering.

- Engineering Quality Objectives.

- Effective Change Management

- Training and Effective Utilization of Discipline Resource

Competency Area Focus

Qualification and Experience - Minimum B.E./ B.Tech. Civil / Naval / Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master's degree in Structural Engineering.

- Minimum 20+ years of experience in Oil & Gas industry with EPCI / Construction organizations. At 10 years leading Structural fabrication deliverables or Construction Support Engineering

- Offshore Oil & Gas experience is a must.
