Senior Engg Manager preferably with Modular Building Experience (LGS, Hot rolled and CFS design)

B. Responsibilities :

- Hands on experience in design and managing the team of Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Architectural team.

- Experience in design of RCC structures & Steel structures.

- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering department.

- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

- Analyze technology, resources, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

- Direct, review, and approve engineering/design and changes.

- Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals

- Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training employees.

- Analyzes and solves engineering-related problems with the assistance of subordinate managers and department personnel.

- Coordinates all customer and internal engineering changes.

- Coordinate all engineering changes and approvals to meet customer deadlines.

- Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment by applicable legislation and company policies and procedures.

- Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality, and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness.

- Monthly reporting of departmental metrics.

- Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

- Good knowledge in International Design Codes like ACI-318, SAUDI BUILDING CODE, BS8110 & IS456.

- Strong in MS Excel formulas & manual calculations when required.

- Understand the client requirement & prepare design deliverable schedule and follow the project deadlines to deliver the project on time.

- Should be able to check the drawings for design intent & markup corrections.

- Allocate, plan & monitor work given to engineering design team. Ensure that project in on schedule.

- Experience in the Modular Building Industry will be an added advantage.

- Experience in the Frame CAD, STRAP and Vertex Bd software will be an added advantage.

- Good skills in AutoCAD. Able to prepare basic layouts & General Arrangement / Detailing Drawings in CAD.

- Good communication skills, team leader, able to manage the team of 10-12 engineers will be an added advantage.

- Coordinate and oversee all technical activities relating to architectural and engineering projects, including directing the design team, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes.

- Responsible for aid in creation of working drawings, budgeting, scheduling, specifications, planning and design on projects with authority to direct, control, and monitor all activities.

- Present design proposals and bids to management according to prescribed deadlines, and explain relevant details, reports, expense line items, and goals in clear and persuasive language.

- Ensuring the design process recognizes current legislation, standards, and codes of practice, and drawings in accordance with the statutory and regulatory building requirements.

- Ensures that the architectural design and final working drawings are in accordance with the consultant and architectural standards.

- Provide consultations during the project development and bidding phases.

- Assess potential projects for feasibility by researching and analyzing associated technology, design requirements, governmental regulations, and market demand.

- Follows up the implementation of any necessary changes to the designs or drawings.

- Remain up-to-date with current and trending elements of design, construction, and technology by reading industry publications, manuals, and textbooks and attending professional development courses and events as time permits.

C. Qualifications

- 15+ years of experience purely from civil and structural design, preferably from a Modular buildings, consulting engineering company or EPC company MUST.

- Bachelor / Master in Engineering : Civil / Structural

Software Packages: Staad Pro V8i, MS Excel, E-Tabs, SAP2000, STRAP, AutoCAD, Excel etc.,
