Engineering Manager - Electromechanical Systems (5-10 yrs)
Job description :
1. Must be a team leader for leading a team of technologists focused on electromechanical and electrohydraulic systems, new machines and architectures to support the electrification efforts.
2. The position demands in-depth understanding of electromechanical systems, hydraulics, machine design, diagnostics/prognostics and control systems.
3. The manager will actively collaborate with global technology managers across the research labs and businesses in identifying, managing and advancing electrification technologies in the industrial businesses of Eaton.
4. Provide leadership and direction to the team and equip them to succeed in delivering on project commitments.
5. Demonstrated experience leading people and/or teams in new technology or product development activities. Excellent understanding of computational techniques and tools for analysis of complex electromechanical and hydraulic systems.
6. Hands-on experience with application development that includes lab scale testing and prototype development.
7. Experience in automotive, aerospace, hydraulics, on and off-highway machines. Direct experience leading industrial product engineering and technology solutions.
8. Exposure of DFSS tools like FMEA. FMECA, Monte Carlo Analysis etc.
9. Experience in writing external proposals; demonstrated success evidenced by being selected for funding and successful execution of government sponsored projects is preferred.
10. Demonstrated experience with both physics-based and numerical modeling and simulation techniques.
