Environmental Officer (Chemical Manufacturing)

- Provide environmental support, and fulfil all environmental sampling, monitoring, reporting, and compliance requirements to the site in line with the company's Environmental Plan and applicable legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct monitoring, inspection, and auditing activities.

- Using and maintaining field-based monitoring equipment.

- Recording and compiling data from field instruments and laboratory reports into spreadsheets and databases.

- Performing environmental and safety inspections and audits.

- Gather, analyse, interpret, and report environmental data for site.

- Assist with environmental incident investigations as required.

- Partnering with operational teams to support effective environmental risk management.

- Implementation and verification of the business- environmental management system.

- Support the development of site compliance reports required in association with our licenses to operate.

- Oversight of contractors and consultants providing environmental services.

- Managing a diverse range of operational environmental issues.

- Implementing the site environmental monitoring program.

Qualification And Experience :

1. BE in Environmental or Chemical with 6-8 years of experience & should have knowledge of environmental issues relevant to the Chemical industry and understanding of the Environmental Legislation.

2. Hands on experience in a Chemical manufacturing site environmental role.

3. Ability to deliver quality work within required deadlines.

4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

5. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

6. High level of attention to detail and an ability to interpret data and problem solve.

7. Ability to undertake field activities in climatic conditions consistent with local legislation.

8. Strong commitment and focus on achieving positive environmental and safety outcomes.
