Environmental & Sustainability Consultant - Waste Management (4-7 yrs)
Environmental & Sustainability Consultant :
Provide expert assessment and advisory services to organizations on matters pertaining to the management of environmental issues. You will play an integral role in reducing the detrimental impact of industrial, commercial and government initiatives on the environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Look at the effects of chemicals, waste materials, smoke or noise on the environment in town or country.
- Making sure companies obey environmental regulations and have good environmental management systems.
- Carrying out environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for proposed major new developments such as industrial plants, roads, electricity pylons and wind farms.
- Advice on how to dispose of waste materials.
- Working with public authorities to improve energy efficiency or to introduce recycling schemes.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and ensuring co's meet all requirements.
- Doing fieldwork, recording information and analysing results using software modelling packages
- Writing reports and action plans and making recommendations.
Qualification And Experience :
1. BE or BSc level qualified in a relevant environmental discipline with 4-6 Years of experience.
2. Membership of a relevant professional body (i.e. IEMA or equivalent) and preferably chartered status.
3. Ability to work across multiple disciplines and a flexible mindset to working.
4. Experience in providing technical alternatives and solutions to technical clarifications and design solutions to the clients.
5. Significant proofing, editing and report collation experience.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
7. Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.
8. Robust project management, time management and financial management skills.
9. Collaborative mindset and outcome driven working method.
