Job Summary:
The Erection & Commissioning Manager will oversee the end-to-end erection, installation, and commissioning of renewable energy plants. This role requires strong technical expertise, site leadership, and coordination with engineering, procurement, and client teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to contractual performance guarantees.
Key Responsibilities:
Solar Projects:
- Supervise erection of module mounting structures, PV modules, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
- Ensure proper installation of DC cabling, AC cabling, and earthing systems.
- Lead commissioning of inverters, transformers, and SCADA systems.
Wind Projects:
- Oversee erection of wind turbine towers, nacelles, and blades with OEM teams.
- Supervise installation of collector systems, substations, and evacuation infrastructure.
- Conduct commissioning tests for turbines, protection systems, and grid synchronization.
Hybrid Projects:
- Coordinate integrated erection activities for solar-wind hybrid plants.
- Ensure seamless commissioning of shared substations and hybrid SCADA systems.
- Optimize synchronization of multiple generation sources with the grid.
Cross-Functional & Compliance:
- Prepare erection and commissioning schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and utilities during commissioning and handover.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation of erection and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during energization and propose corrective actions.
