Estimation Engineer (4-6 yrs)

Middle East/United Arab Emirates Job Code: 43335

- Analyze project specifications, architectural drawings, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for steel and aluminium structures.

- Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and cost breakdowns based on project requirements.

- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing for materials and services.

- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements.

- Participate in tender reviews, risk assessments, and strategy meetings.

- Work closely with the design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure accuracy and alignment in pricing.

- Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors as needed.

- Maintain a database of historical costs, suppliers, and market trends for reference in future estimates.

- Ensure timely submission of estimates and tenders, adhering to client deadlines.

- Support post-tender clarifications and negotiations when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in estimation, specifically in steel and aluminium fabrication (facades, cladding, curtain walls, handrails, etc.).

- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding construction specifications.

- Strong knowledge of material standards, fabrication techniques, and installation practices in the UAE market.

- Experience with estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS, or Excel-based costing tools).

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

- Knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors in the UAE is preferred.

- UAE Driving License is an advantage.
