Estimation Specialist - Project Control Department - Energy Sector (10-15 yrs)

Background :

- The Estimating Specialist is a core member of the Project Controls department who is responsible and accountable for the preparation of accurate cost estimates for capital and expense projects to facilitate project authorization and enable a cost effective project execution.

Eligibility Requirements :

- Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology

- Post qualification Exp : 10+yrs (In Project Engg/Estimation/Proposals)

Responsibilities :

- Developing entire project cost estimate from the conceptual stage through the project closure for chemical plants, petro chemicals, refineries etc., with early stage engineering deliverables

- Lead and integrate with various functional disciplines as a team player ensuring the right inputs for the accurate and quality deliverables.

- A self-starter and should always ben top providing the best contingency factor and maintain the best estimation accuracy range at various stages of the project estimations.

Technical Skill Set (desired) :

- Construction practices in Energy sector, including green field and brownfield projects.

- Project Cost Management tools and Methodology (general awareness) SAP

- Project Schedule Management tools and Work Process (general awareness)

- Estimating Tools- Aspen Capital CostEstimator & In Plant Cost Estimator (K-base)

- Conceptual Schedule Application Tools

- Standard Accounting Work Process

- Standard Procurement Work Process

- Construction Change Order Process

Other requirements (mandatory) :

- To read and use P&IDs, PFDs, plot plans and engineering documentations so as to develop project cost estimate

- Very good level of understanding about the various cost elements in a project(EPCM)

- Good understanding of the generally followed industry norms and practices(National & International)

- A good level of understanding about all disciplines like civil, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process control

- Capability in analyzing the various input cost data and appropriately normalize and include in the cost estimate

- Reasonable and competitive understating about the plant construction activities, construction machinery requirements etc

- Should be very conversant with MS excel and other MS office.

- Knowledge of Contracting, Subcontracting of multi discipline projects in Oil& Gas and Chemical Sectors- (Small, Medium and Large Projects)
