Position : Executive - Maintenance (Mechanical Engineer)

Location : Ankleshwar

Reporting to : Plant Engineer / Shift Manager

Criteria ; Experience & Qualifications :

- Candidates with B. E / B. Tech ; Mechanical Engineering degree having 8 to 14 years of experience in any manufacturing organization of repute with independently handling designated Mechanical area.


- Preferably from Heavy Process Industries. Should be very good in solving the technical problem.

Purpose :

- Plan, Organize, coordinate and monitor Mechanical and Reliability activities in plant to achieve maximum availability of Plant at optimum cost & monitor implementation of mechanical engineering related works within the time schedule & budgeted cost to meet the desired improvements.

- Well versed in maintenance, engineering and reliability of Float Plant, Utilities, Cryogenic Plant and regenerative type of furnace. Good exposure to working with Diesel Generator sets of 2.5 MW and above.

- Conversant with all types of pumps, compressors, gear boxes, belt conveyors, fans, blowers, Cooling Towers, Batching systems, furnace equipments, fabrication lines, Utilities - Natural Gas, LPG, Water treatment etc. Good understanding and exposure to Water Treatment System - Zero Discharge Unit

Job Responsibility :

1. Organize and monitor implementation activities for optimum plant availability of all equipment and machineries for Float glass, Mirror Line & Sputter Coater to meet the targeted production and satisfaction of internal customers.

a. Enhance and promote the Hazards Identification. Emphasize the importance of the Identification and reporting.

b. Focus on the safe execution of the daily maintenance work (Safe work permit)

c. Execution of the actions through work processes.

d. Promote prioritization on Safety over production, incentivizing and giving the tools needed for success

2. Plan, monitor & control the cost (spare, inventory, repairs & manpower) of mechanical maintenance and optimize maintenance costs within the budget.

3. Identify, coordinate & monitor implementation of improvements, small projects in order to improve the availability and reduce cost of maintenance.

4. Build & sustain a conducive work culture by effective management of people to improve productivity, growth and motivation levels of employees to institutionalize best organizing practices in the unit

5. Conversant with Quality management systems

6. Should hold excellent technical skills like drawing Study and modification, vendor technical assessment, Calculations, Cost Estimations, project implementation, break down Analysis, Third Party Inspection etc.

7. Conversant with the concept of Reliability Centered Maintenance and should have knowledge of Predictive & Precise maintenance techniques

8. Understanding of Control system working - PLC/DCS for Plant operations.

9. Experience to manage Projects - Mechanical equipment engineering, procurement, and installation will be an added advantage.
