Field Electrician - Smart Metering Installation & Maintenance (2-3 yrs)
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
- ITI Electrician Diploma or equivalent electrical trade qualification
- Valid driving license
- Current electrical safety training certification (within 12 months)
- Minimum 2-3 years documented field experience in electrical installation/maintenance (Fresher can apply)
- Minimum 1year direct experience in meter installation or smart metering work
MANDATORY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Single-phase and three-phase meter installation and removal
- Electrical testing equipment operation (multimeter, voltage tester, clamp meter)
- Smart Energy meter configurations
- AMI/AMR system fundamentals
- Reading electrical diagrams and wiring schematics
- Basic electrical calculations (voltage, current, power)
- Field troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Work order management software operation
MANDATORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install, remove, and replace smart meters at customer premises and utility locations
- Configure smart meters via DLMS/COSEM protocols
- Perform electrical testing (voltage, current, polarity, accuracy verification)
- Verify meter communication and data transmission to utility systems
- Complete and submit work orders and technical reports accurately
- Maintain installation records and photographic documentation
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and regulations
- Provide professional customer service during site visits
