Job Description : Floor Supervisor

Job Title : Floor Supervisor

Department : Service

Position Type : Full-time

Reporting To : Works Manager

Reporting Staff : Technician [4 levels] and washer boys

Responsible on absence Works Manager :

The floor supervisor manages the technical team on the floor of the workshop. He will be responsible for workshop floor upkeep and training and management of the technical team.

1. Primary Responsibilities :

a) Repair Process :

1. Exhibiting all the RE behaviour codes, in action & in thought

2. Allocate job cards to various bays and monitor the work done on the bike

3. Communicate the time required to complete the task to the service advisor

4. Ensure the sourcing of all the parts, spares & consumables required to complete the work

5. Offer technical inputs to the technicians, wherever required

6. Monitor schedule adherence and take corrective actions in case of time overruns. Communicate any time any time and cost overruns to the service advisor

7. Manage the quality of work done on multiple bays, simultaneously

8. Engage, interact & tackle the customer who's seated at the bay and viewing his bike getting serviced

9. Ensure that the technicians are not disturbed while the bikes are being serviced

10. Exhibit strong technical understand of the bikes, to the customer

11. Along with the Service advisor, conduct a check on the vehicles in PDI area, to ensure that all jobs mentioned in the job card have been completed as per quality guidelines.

12. In case of any discrepancies, vehicle to be returned to the floor for rework job. Reschedule the service scheduling chart in case of rework and communicate the same to the service advisor.

13. Take trials of the bike to understand customer concerns / complaints better or to diagnose the cause of the problem

14. Along with the Service advisor, ensure a ceremonial delivery of the bike, from RE Caf


b) Other Responsibilities :

1. Carry out complaint resolution as per the guidance of the CRM/ CRE

2. Take action as per action plans drafted by the CRM to improve customer satisfaction

3. Assist the parts manager in inventory management

4. Ensure sound upkeep of the bays as per RECODE norms, assist the CRE in infrastructure audit

5. Lead, coach and mentor all the technicians, ensure training needs are adequately met with the works manager, GM service and the HR manager

6. Conduct regular service drills with the technicians

2. Recruitment profile :

a. Educational Qualifications : 12 th pass/ extensive technical experience

b. Industry : Auto [2 wheeler preferred]

c. Minimum experience : 6 years

d. Profile: extensive technical experience especially for automobiles [2 wheelers], adherence to processes and norms

e. Passions/ Interests: Passionate about Royal Enfield and motorcycling, owns/ rides one himself

f. Competencies :
