Job role: The Freight Broker agent has the overall responsibility of coordinating all the shipping needs of the clients. The Freight Broker Agent will serve as a liaison between our customers and freight carriers to secure the transportation of goods.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Freight broker agents are responsible for matching authorized and reliable transportation carriers to the shippers and coordinating all of the shipping needs for many companies.

- Maintain current clients, generate leads and attract new prospects and develop a sales pipeline.

- Acquire new business through prospecting, cold calling, etc.

- Contract with freight shipping carriers and negotiate the best rates and services for our customers.

- Identify, screen, and select reputable and safe carriers for freight services.

 - Maintain thorough records of all freight delivery activities and oversee the legal part of the transportation.

- Prepares important paperwork.

- Plan and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.

- Respond to and resolve customer concerns and queries professionally.
