Profile Summary :

- The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the Purchase Team for Pan India projects - including sourcing, negotiating, and finalizing procurement for project and workshop operations.

- This role specializes in procuring equipment, spares, and consumables for hydraulic and electronic systems such as SPMTs, Strand Jacks, and Cranes. Also accountable for the procurement and fabrication of structural steel items like towers, girders, and cradles. Ensures safe transportation and logistics of materials to project sites, while overseeing store inventory and monitoring shortages for timely reordering.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sourcing, negotiating and finalizing procurement for spares, consumables specializing in hydraulic, electronic equipment (SPMT, Stand Jack, Cranes), and fabrication of structures

- Coordination with project teams regarding the various purchases as required in time

- Develop system and procedures:

- Identify and develop the most cost-effective vendor/suppliers / dealers to build healthy competition in order to get best quality at optimum price.

- Registration of vendor with all statutory documents - PAN, GST, .

- Assessment of performance and quality of the vendors based on various criteria - such as price, quality, timely delivery, credit terms etc.

- Extract best value from purchasing deals for the organization

- Improve value of the goods to be procured by optimizing its function to cost ratio. This could be achieved by re-engineering existing set parameters and/or developing new alternatives through innovation.

- Maintain purchase details and site Inventory in systems.

- Prepare and process purchase orders as per procedure.

- Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.

- Handle and monitor claims with vendors for defectives, shortage and missing parts.

- Budgeting & forecasting for monthly procurement and equipment maintenance requirements.

- Coordination with accounting department on suppliers' payments.

- Ensure suppliers/ vendors maintain all statutory compliance (GST, PF, ESIC, PT, WC policy, Insurance of people & goods)

- Keep track of all the project /site requirements and efficiently manage packing materials inventory, procurement and movement to ensure project/client deadlines are met.

- Early Purchasing Involvement -To get involved in various engineering projects at the inception stage, contribute share knowledge, information and the latest technologies / trends available.

- Oversee logistics/transport of material to site.

- Ensure stores inventory keeps up with shortages and timely ordering of material.

- Ensure all import formalities of Specialized Equipment's.
