Job Purpose:

- This position is responsible for driving Global Electrical and Electronics Purchase management for the Automation business.

- This involves identifying, developing, building capacity and capability in Vendors across geography for ensuring part deliveries considering all aspects of cost, quality and timelines.

Responsibilities :

- Global Sourcing for Automation and ASRS business

- Responsible to develop Global supplier base.

- Exposure to Global price level agreements for different countries. Finalisation of the commercials of such agreements and drafting of the agreement.

- Fare knowledge of taxes and duties of different countries.

- Leading team size of 3 to 8 junior resource exp range 1 yr to 5 yr

- Purchase order approval and ensure due diligence is done before approval.

- Sourcing of commodities of Control bought outs - PLC, CNC controller, Servo package, Robots, Industrial Vision Systems, Sensors, Relays, Switchgears, Industrial Cables, Control panels, Transformers, Connectors, Industrial Fuses, Panel Connectors, Automation moulded Cables, Drag Chain, Robot Dress Pack, Safety Switches, Safety Relays, Encoders etc.

- High Value Engineered to Order Equipment like EV Battery Cycler, Welding Equipment, Laser Welding & cleaning Equipment's etc

- International Customer site Contract Labour & Equipment sourcing, Mechanical & Software design & engineering services Global sourcing.

- Various Capex IT & Engg Soft tools & infrastructure procurements & AMCs

- Ensure procurement at Right price, in right time, of right quality, in right quantity, from right source.

- Inventory management & control

- Management reporting and maintain MIS for team.

- Recruitment of junior resources for team building

- Fair Knowledge of Import for Compliance & Statutory requirements related to Customs, Foreign Trade & Other related Taxes.

Operational:

- Review Suppliers business account visit Class 'A' & 'B' suppliers with prior intimation & stating purpose of visit, once in a six month & update supplier's data base in ERP

- Review suppliers business & send demand letter for TOD, if already agreed upon, if not agreed, initiate negotiations & involve your superior

- Ensure each and every item / commodity has minimum 1 substitute / supplier.

Procurement:

- Review Indent, prioritise urgencies & initiate procurement process

- Rview with Suppliers on daily / weekly basis and ensure intime procurements

- Ontime Procurement at optimum cost

- Review with Suppliers on daily / weekly basis and ensure intime procurements

- Responsible for Procurement of Various Capex IT & Engg Soft tools & infrastructure procurements & AMCs

MIS:

- Submission of Pending PO report on weekly basis & PO Vs GRIR report on monthly basis, to respective suppliers & take approval of superior on weekly MIS report

- Maintain own departmental MIS (BOMDEL, excess PO cancelation, Excess stock internal consumed/external sale, alternate sourcing savings etc) & monitor subordinates MIS on weekly basis

- 'Responsible & Execution of Functional Objectives.

- Desired Profile:

- Engineering graduate with Min 15 -25 years- experience.

- Minimum 8-10 Years experience of working in Automation, Packaging or any SPM (Special Machine Manufacturing) industry or allied Industries having element of Automation like Semi-conductors, FMCG automation, Medical equipment automation, Tier-1 Precision component supplier for Automotive etc.
