- He/She will provide vision, direction, and leadership to ensure successful planning, execution, and completion of projects in a professional and culturally aligned manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product study, development, and testing

- Complete strategy, plan, and execution for product development.

- Official Transfer of Technology (ToT) from various competent organizations for optoelectronic devices.

- Day-to-day communication with Ordinance Factory Department, IRDE, BEL, DGQA, DTTC, IIT/equivalent relevant institutions, relevant labs etc. as well as design partners/vendors/suppliers/relevant partners.

- To get the products certified by ETDC or any other facility against JSS-5855-11-2009 (Latest version).

- To get different National & International certificates for Opto-electronics.

- Preparation of digital and hardcopy library with all technical literature (Books, research papers, journals etc.) in approved formats.

- Skillful in handling projects from concept to commissioning stage & handling project activities involving working out various requirements with respect to planning, utilities, machines, manpower & monitoring overall project execution for ensuring timely completion.

- Leading product development functions including requirement analysis, finalizing

specifications testing activities.

2. Knowledge Base

- Advanced knowledge documentation on:

- Uncooled/cooled thermal imaging devices

- Image Intesifier Tube based devices

 - Day Optical devices

- CMOS based low-light devices

- Ensuring complete documentation on emerging technologies like ICCD, EMCCD, Lasers, LWIR, MWIR & SWIR etc.

- Responsible for engineering drawings for all products.

3. Development, Up-Gradation And Management Of Work Facility

- Upgradation of existing or sstablishment of additional required development facility for all the products and maintained for the entire product line.

- Technical analysis of competitor's product in all verticals for better product development.

- Study of upcoming relevant technologies for our product lines.

- Comparative study for upcoming/future technologies and relevant report to be

presented to D & D dept.

- Budget analysis for all proposals for development.

4. Credential Development

- Affiliation of D & D Lab from DSIR.

- Ensure that present NABL accredited test & calibration facility has all required tests

available for all the relevant products.

- Collaboration with DRDO/ other relevant labs or institutes to use their testing facility

for all the products.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

- Must have experience of minimum 12-15+ years

- Must be BE / BTech / MTech in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Embedded Systems or related discipline

- Experience in the Defense, Opto-Electronics, Imaging Systems or Electro-Optics industry will be preferred.

- Deliver technically competitive products that meet or exceed current market benchmarks.

- Ensure timely product development so that all new offerings retain a viable 4- 5 year market lifecycle.

- Incorporate unique value propositions (USPs) into core product lines to create tactical differentiation.

- Enable long-term innovation through technology partnerships, certifications, and internal knowledge-building
