General Manager - New Product Development - Thermal Films (10-25 yrs)
General Manager (New Product Development) - Thermal Films
- Responsible for product & applications developments of thermal/ metallized films.
- New product development objectives along with Product strengthening, Benchmarking, competitive analysis & Continual Improvements of products.
- Continuous Improvement Projects & Cost reduction initiatives in R&D contingency plan, Interaction with Raw Material Supplier
- Managing interdepartmental interactions across multiple verticals functions strong partnering with BD, Sales, Marketing, production & QA and ensuring product deliveries.
- Developed state-of-the-art R&D center (DSIR recognition) with analytical infrastructure.
- Leading the team of people in R&D & responsible for complete product development cycle.
- Market fit technology & Project plan, Evaluate Technical Commercial needs, technical scoping, planning, guiding, execution & scale up activities of R&D projects, Validate Product, Analyze product failures & Supervise feasibility studies, troubleshoot scale-up trials, Product compliances.
- Commercialized Metallized film products: Anti-Skid films, high barrier films, Direct embossable metalized BOPP film, Transparent, Cold Seal Release application, wrap-around labels for low density, functional coatings & label films, coated thermal super silk BOPP, Special Thermal film for both side lamination applications.
Qualification And Experience:
1. BSc or MSc or BE in Chemical or Materials Science, or a related field is typically required with minimum 15+ years of experience in the BOPP film industry, or a related field like flexible packaging and Last Few Years in thermal/metallised film is a must.
2. Strong understanding of Metallised film manufacturing processes, raw materials, and testing methods.
3. Experience with managing projects, timelines, and budgets.
4. Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
5. Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
6. Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and BRCGS-IOP standards.
