General Manager - R&D - Charging Infra & Battery Management Systems - EV Automobiles (14-20 yrs)
Client: R&D function of Leading automobile manufacturer (EV segment)
Role:
- Define requirements and lead the design and development of onboard/offboard EV charging systems and BMS for electric two/three-wheelers.
- Technology, cost innovation and IP generation
- Ensure design quality via FMEA
- Define comprehensive performance / reliability testing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 15+ engineers.
Specific expertise required for functional areas:
- Electrical Systems: design and integration, including power quality and transient management.
- EV Specifics : Strong understanding of EV charging and BMS software flow, and familiar with electric vehicle standards, regulations, ISO 26262 functional safety, and CISPR EMC.
- Power Electronics : Experienced in power electronic converter design (electrical, thermal, and electromechanical).
- Product Development: Familiar with the automotive product development process and DFSS methodology.
- Optimization & Safety: knowledgeable in high-voltage safety (connectors, insulation, leakage).
Educational Qualification:
- B.E/ B Tech in Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, E&TC,
- M Tech in Power Electronics (preferred)
