ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

- Lead and manage the R&D team in the design, analysis, and development of gear and transmission systems.

- Oversee the use of Romax Software, KISS Software, and UG NX for advanced gear and transmission design.

- Drive innovation in off-highway and commercial vehicle gear design and transmission technology, covering manual, automatic, and electric gearbox design and development.

- Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals.

- Conduct detailed CAE simulations, including stress, vibration, and durability analyses of gear systems.

- Apply Finite Element Method (FEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques for advanced analysis.

- Ensure the integration of optimal material properties into transmission component designs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and product development, to optimize transmission system performance.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.

- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

- Provide technical mentorship and training to team members.

- Exhibit strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments.

- Oversee customer management and engagement, understanding their technical requirements and providing solutions to meet their needs.

ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

- 18+ years of experience in gear and transmission system design and analysis.

- Strong hands-on expertise with Romax, KISS, and UG NX software for transmission design.

- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.

- In-depth knowledge of gear design principles, off-highway and commercial vehicle transmission systems, and CAE simulation techniques.

- Expertise in manual, automatic, and electric gearbox design and development.

- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of material properties and their impact on transmission components.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and project management capabilities.
