Skills Snapshot:

- Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, including a track record of successfully managing geotechnical projects.

- Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and ground improvement techniques.

- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and tools, such as GeoStudio, PLAXIS, FLAC, Slope/W, Slide, Talren, Settle2D/3D, Seep/W etc..

Roles and responsibilities:

- Design and analysis of retaining structures - Reinforced Earth (RE)/Mechanically stabilized Earth (MSE) walls and slopes.

- Design and analysis of soil/rock slopes and support systems.

- Soil structure interaction analysis, numerical modelling, and interpretation of results for slope stability and retaining structures analysis.

- Shallow foundation design: bearing capacity checks, settlement analysis and ground improvement techniques.

- Interpretations of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and use of appropriate geotechnical/geological design parameters.

- Planning and co-ordination with inhouse/external testing laboratory.

- Provide design inputs to CAD and co-ordinate with CAD staff for preparation of drawings.

- Short term travel to various locations in India for site inspection, testing and training related activities.

- Prepare case study and technical papers of completed work.

- Ensure compliance with corporate and project QMS and HSES procedures.

- Have interest in learning new technologies and open to carry out research and development work.

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering

- Around 02-04 yrs of relevant experience in Reinforced Earth Wall Design / Geotechnical Engineering Design

- Working in design of geotechnical and geological projects would be preferred.

- Experience in analysis and design of soil & rock slopes, Mechanically Stabilised Earth/Reinforced Earth (MSE/RE) retaining wall & slopes, Ground Improvement measures, Geotechnical Interpretation, and laboratory tests will be added advantage.

- Working knowledge of geotechnical software's like PLAXIS, FLAC, Slope/W, Slide, Talren, Settle2D/3D, Seep/W etc.

- Knowledge of precast RCC structure design like Arch, Box, Culvert, drains etc. will be added advantage.

- The candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and within groups.

- Aware of best engineering practices, value engineering, civil designs with respect to buildability, ability to solve site related design issues.

- Flexible to adopt new work/challenges as per business requirement.

- Interest in gaining experience and skill in both technical and commercial areas.
