GM/ DGM - Purchase - Raw Materials (15-20 yrs)
Position: GM / DGM - Purchase (Raw Materials)
Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand
Experience Required: 15 - 20 Years in Raw Material Procurement (Coal, Iron Ore, Scrap)
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Responsible for end-to-end procurement of key Raw materials such as Coal (Thermal & Coking), Iron ore, Sponge iron, Ferro alloys, Steel scrap and fluxes.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production needs and cost optimization goals.
Vendor Development & Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable domestic and international vendors.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely supply and quality compliance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Cost & Inventory Management:
- Drive cost-effective procurement practices without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with stores, logistics & finance for efficient inventory management and working capital control.
- Monitor global and domestic commodity price trends.
Contracts & Compliance:
- Draft and manage contracts, MOUs, and long-term agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory, environmental, and company compliance norms.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Degree + MBA (Supply Chain / Operations) preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in large-scale procurement of industrial Raw materials.
- Proficiency in ERP/ SAP systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
