- They are looking for a GM- R&D to drive the entire gamut of business initiatives for India.

Description :

Key Responsibilities of the role are as below :

- Lead the Research & Development initiatives for the Agri-Input business of Godrej Agrovet R&D work at Godrej Agrovet will be largely divided into four parts :

- New Product/Process Development

- Liaison with the Sales & Marketing team to develop the future product pipeline

- Develop new product / processes to launch these products in the market as per planned time lines

- Cost Reduction Initiatives

- Provide constant support and guidance to the R&D team to achieve cost optimization for existing Product offerings through focused plans in Process/RM/ Catalyst Interventions

- Leading and Managing the R&D division

- Quantifying measures to track the performance of the team

- Tracking the Idea to Cash cycle-time for the function

- Managing R&D department, including laboratories, greenhouse facilities, and research personnel

- Overseeing testing and registration of new products with CIB

- Relationship management to strengthen the R&D function

- Protecting the intellectual property developed in-house through patenting the innovations

- Identifying and incorporating technologies through partnerships and licensing arrangements

- Building relationships with universities and public-sector research institutions; overseeing sponsorship of academic research

- Coordinating with the sales team to ensure optimal product performance and farmer satisfaction

Profile :

- Plant Physiologist/Agronomist with a PhD/doctorate from a leading institution in India or abroad

- 15 plus years of experience in leading and managing R&D function in Agro-chemical space

- Candidate should be well-versed with agro-chemical innovations in weed control, plant growth regulation, and abiotic stress mitigation

- Should be able to mentor and coach people to create a strong and diverse talent pool
