Halonix - Lighting Designer (4-10 yrs)
KEY DELIVERABLES :
- Prepare lighting design layouts and technical drawings for pole lighting, area lighting, and street lighting using AutoCAD.
- Perform lux level calculations and uniformity assessments using Dialux evo and AGI32 for outdoor environments.
- Select suitable pole types, heights, optics, and luminaires based on lighting requirements and standards.
- Ensure compliance with lighting norms (IS, BIS, IES, EN standards) for roadway and outdoor lighting.
- Work with sales, project, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and implementation.
- Generate technical documentation - including BOQs, fixture schedules, and comparison sheets.
- Conduct lighting design simulations for tenders, DPRs, and detailed project reports.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors for technical discussions.
- Support field teams with mock-ups, site trials, and aiming/focus as per design.
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 2- 3 years of experience in lighting design for outdoor/pole lighting applications.
- Sound understanding of pole lighting design parameters - pole spacing, mounting height, tilt angles, glare control, light pollution, and uniformity.
- Awareness of industry standards (e.g., IS 1944, BIS, IESNA).
- Basic knowledge of electrical load calculation and lighting controls.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
