Hardware Design Engineer - Power Electronics (5-8 yrs)

Role Description:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our growing team in Bengaluru In this role, you will play a key part in the design and development of our GaN and wireless charger products. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring our products meet the highest quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications for power electronic circuits.

- Design and develop DC-DC, AC-DC, or DC-AC power converters using simulation software.

- Perform thermal management analysis to ensure efficient heat dissipation in the final product.

- Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.

- Collaborate with mechanical and control engineers to ensure seamless integration of power electronics within the system.

- Develop and execute test plans to verify and validate the performance, safety, and reliability of prototypes.

- Troubleshoot and debug power electronics related issues.

- Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise.

- Maintain technical documentation for designs.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power electronics technology and components.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum 2+ years of experience in power electronics design.

- Proven experience with DC-DC, AC-DC, or DC-AC converter design.

- Proficiency in power electronics fundamentals, including power switching devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs), magnetics, and gate driver design.

- Experience with circuit simulation software Altium is a must.

- Knowledge of PCB layout principles and design tools is preferred.

- Understanding of EMC/EMI regulations and design practices is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
