Hardware Engineer (6-8 yrs)
We are seeking a Hardware Engineer for a global medical tech solutions provider.
Job Profile:
- Part of the R&D team
- Understanding of system level, hardware design & requirements of the system/product
- Lead the investigation of production and field issues/failures
- Understand the technical issues and drive the root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering and production to provide solutions.
- Work on closures as per commitments
- Own and execute mitigations for components obsolescence/supply chain issues:
- Provide timely solutions to prevent production stop situations
- Identify alternate components based on design requirements & component specification/datasheet comparisons
- Perform evaluation & testing as needed for alternate qualifications
- Perform necessary hands-on testing at circuit level / module level / product level to evaluate the hardware performance for identified HW design changes.
- Work on circuit simulations, schematics entry, BOM management and PCB layout reviews as needed.
- Responsible in design change implementations through ECO
- Own documentation and co-ordinate reviews and approvals required to process the ECO.
- Own and implement new feature developments, compliance testing and country registrations for products in production.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing considering the timeline, capacities and cost impact etc.
- Work efficiently with cross functional and production teams to deliver the assigned task/project with quality within the timelines.
Production testing - Responsible in fixture and tools development needed for production
Requirements:
- BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical engineering or equivalent.
- 6 to 8 Years of experience in working with Hardware designs
- Strong in fundamentals of Analog and digital electronics
- Familiar with the concepts of Microcontrollers / Microprocessors operation and the hardware requirements for designing circuits using them.
- Understanding of power management systems - DCDC (Buck/Boost) and LDOs
- Knowledge of hardware design for communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, USB
- Proficient in component selection for circuit design
- Experience in using common lab equipment like DMMs, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, Signal generators
- Understanding of production process of PCB assembly & production testing
- Circuit simulation experience (LT spice or equivalent)
- Familiar or exposure in EMI/EMC testing
- Understanding of Production, Regulatory and Standards
Project Management - planning and effort estimation experience will be an added advantage.
