Hardware Safety Engineer (4-8 yrs)
Job Description :
- Perform safety management activities according to ISO 26262 during all HW development phases
- Perform FMEDA / FTA / D-FMEA / DFA as well as moderation support for HW projects
- Requirements management of EE-HW-system and its components
- Conformance of HW-Safety for Automotive steering products
- Collaborate on Functional Safety with mechanical, software and system development teams, project managers, Suppliers and customers (OEM)
- Verification and Confirmation review supports for safety Artifacts
- Support in Internal & External HW-Safety Assessment for projects as per ISO26262
Essential Skills and Knowledge :
- Experience with Product Development Life Cycle (System/Hardware/Software) in automotive domain
- Knowledge of EE-HW-System architecture, Motor and ECU architecture
- Knowledge and experience in FMEA, FMEDA, FTA and DFA analyses
- Thorough system knowledge (ECU, Sensors, Software)
- Strong written, verbal communication and inter personal relationship skills
Desirable Skills and Knowledge :
- Awareness and experience with safety-standards like IEC61508, ISO26262
- Certified FMEA moderator (TQ013) and experience in FMEA moderations
- Strong knowledge in HW design and HW modules
- Experience in tools like IQ-RM PRO, Enco-SOX2, Reliability Workbench, DOORS, Clear Quest etc.,
- Experience with Electronic Power Steering products
Qualifications :
- B.E/B.Tech, M.E / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation
