Hardware Test Engineer - PCB Design (1-3 yrs)
Responsibilities :
- Develop bring-up test plans for new boards based on PCB design files.
- Perform board bring-up tests, including power/analog/digital, embedded controller, and power electronics circuitries.
- Prepare and perform high current (up to hundreds of amps) and/or high voltage (up to 1000 V) development and characterization tests on prototype units.
- Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions, e.g., malfunction of circuits, switching noise coupling, component overheating. Hands-on modification circuit boards to verify the proposed solution.
- Prepare issue tracker and test reports.
Skillset :
- Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and testing embedded controller and power electronics boards.
- Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment, e.g., power supply, electronics loads, oscilloscope, current and voltage probes, function generators, impedance analyzer, frequency spectrum analyzer.
- Hands-on experience with board rework and components soldering.
- Experience with high voltage testing safety practice
- Experience with industry-standard communications interfaces, e.g., JTAG, CAN, and Ethernet
- Ability to read and interpret component datasheets, PCB schematics, and layout design.
Deliverables :
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, methodologies and recommendation.
- Update and maintain the knowledge base of know defects and solutions.
- Daily Production Report
- Good Communication Skills
Requirements :
Experience : 1-2 years
Qualification : BSc / Diploma (Electronics and Communications)
- Must have experience as a test Engineer from a manufacturing company.
- Must be open to work any shift.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Potential for hours standing/walking during shift.
- Must be flexible to work any shift and on weekends when required
