Head - Application Engineering & Technical Services (14-18 yrs)
Job Title : Head Application Engineering and Technical Services
Qualification : Minimum BE/B.Tech (Master's degree will have slight advantage and six sigma is preferred.)
Experience : 14+ years minimum
Reporting to : VP Distribution
Location : Pune
Job Role :
- Role will involve 25% travel.
- This role leads majorly (80 to 90%) Application Engineering team and have additional responsibility (10 to 20%) of Technical services and Service Engineering.
- They are looking for an Engineering leader who can lead team of 12 engineers to deliver projects meeting business goals.
Job Description :
- Lead Engineering department to deliver projects to meet BU business goals
- Manage various Engineering teams
- Application Engineering team leads projects in various segments like Automotive, Industrial, Railways, Marine and Customized Gensets.
- Technical Services team does Design and drafting, Analysis Led design, Engineering Website Management, Engineering support to Plant and Product Support teams
- Service Engineering team does DFMEA, DVP & R and lead warranty issues of Engine
- Rebuild plant and Application Projects
- Track overall department performance metrics on monthly basis and updating management on status and required support
- Prepare Engineering budget, getting it approved and tracking expenses throughout the year
- Strengthen technical capability of the Engineering team towards Functional Excellence
Technical Skills :
- Hands on Engine application engineering experience
- Emissions norms knowledge
- Complete Product cycle (design to production) knowledge
- Product design knowledge
- Engine testing knowledge
