Requirements:

- 15-20 year work-ex

- Masters degree in business administration or equivalent will be preferred.

- Should have experience in Commercial field, preferably in port operations or logistics or material / cargo handling business

- Must have proven experience in commercial management and staff coaching on large scale

- Good communication skills, written as well as oral

- Highest level of professional and personal honesty, integrity and ethics

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Ability to be creative and innovative

- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve objectives

- Willingness to travel based on requirement of work

Job Description:

- To contribute to the formulation of commercial strategy and marketing approach for the port

- To negotiate contracts with and maintain relations with customers, service providers and other stake holders of the port

- To be aware of the factors affecting the commercials of various aspect of port operations and to take dynamic decisions to ensure that port operations remain efficient as well as profitable

- To scrutinise and discuss budgets with senior managers of the port and carry out a detailed budgeting exercise with a focus on revenue and profitability

- Monitor actuals against budgeted commercial targets and objectives by obtaining performance reports on the agreed targets and objectives and take corrective action when needed

- To work with the Head - Operations to identify areas for process improvement with a view on improving efficiency and profitability and to recommend such process improvements to CEO

- To provide relevant data to the finance team for preparation of MIS to be presented to the CEO
