Head Instrumentation (Chemical Manufacturing)

- Lead Green Field/Brown field project execution of instrumentation & control systems project activities related to green & / brown field projects phases like procurement, construction, commissioning & accountable for design Delta -V, PLC based plant control systems, CCTV, EPABX, fire detection & access control systems. etc.

Key Responsibilities :

- Selection, design, procurement, and execution of project activities related to instrumentation function. Play key role in detail engineering work, collaborating with different departments for efficient and on time inputs for all aspects of control and instrumentation (design basis to P&ID developments, field instrumentation, control, and safety systems, etc.)

- Coordinates project execution activities to ensure that all Instrumentation and control projects are implemented within budget and schedule.

- Monitors project progress through project coordination meetings and other means, against project schedules and budgets; deploy resources as required to accomplish these goals.

- Responsible for managing an instrumentation contract teams during construction and commissioning of Instrumentation and control activities.

- Participates in HAZOP, risk analysis, ensures works are engineered and constructed in compliance with all HSE requirements. Ensures plant safety, integrity and reliability through development, implementation and improvement of specific field instrumentation.

- Work on basic and detailed engineering for DCS high-end process automation systems software programming / development for DCS in Batch Process Automation.

- Should have handled Projects execution & Commissioning. Programming Experience on DCS & PLCs, etc.

- Design, specify, deploy, and sustain base Automation systems on major DCS, PLC and ESD platforms, coordinate the SIL Asset Integrity initiative programs.

- Coordination in creation of new graphics, modification of existing graphics, I/O assignments modify existing logics and development of new logic and PLC system like Rockwell and Siemens make.

- Reviews and studies the scope of works described by the contract document, project specifications, contract drawings and BOQ. Coordinates with procurement department for order, approval and timely delivery of all instrumentation and control materials.

- Coordinate with vendors to perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

- Ensure compliance of codes, standards, regulations, and practices applicable to design and construction (e.g. API, ASME, ANSI, AGA, ISA, etc) including HSE and environmental compliance

Qualification And Experience :

1. BE (Instrumentation) with 14 - 20 years of demonstrated project management experience, preferably with specialty chemical plants involving batch and continuous process plants with SIL implementation, should have very good hands-on experience in filed instrumentation & control systems.

2. Innovative, logical thinking, reasoning abilities, Delta-V, PLC programming, excellent project management & leadership skills.

3. Well experience on using AutoCAD, Smart P&IDs. Microsoft Projects Excel, PPT etc.

4. Should have excellent communication skills.
