Head - Logistics (15-30 yrs)
- Candidate must have skills to plan, manage and deliver logistics requirements across multiple overseas projects in the most cost-effective manner.
- Candidate must have handled at least 100+ containers per month in exports to various sectors
- Candidate must have around 15 to 20 years of experience in exports to various sectors like Middle East, Africa, LATAM etc.
- Candidate should have experience in selecting shipping lines, LSPs & negotiating contracts & rates.
- Candidate should have good connects with major shipping lines/freight forwarders
- Experience of Logistics from Dubai to different places is desirable
- Researching ideal shipping techniques/modes, routing & carriers.
- Understanding of global scenario & its effect on logistics costs, deliveries, delays etc.
- Understanding of different global freight indices
- Candidate should have experience of ODC & break bulk cargo movement
- Should have good end to end execution capabilities.
- Understanding of import processes is desirable
- Must have experience of leading teams of around 15-20 people in a fast-paced environment
- Team leader & should have ability to mentor team-members and groom them for taking higher responsibilities.
- Implement the overall logistics strategy and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Handle all stake holders effectively and manage the project teams to achieve the project objectives.
- Coordinating with all other departments, internal & external customers for overall effectiveness
- Should ensure timely actions & documentation to avoid detention & demurrage.
- Should have process orientation & ability to resolve the issues in a timely manner.
- Exposure to SAARC logistics desirable
- Familiar with the latest digital initiatives & new tech players in Logistics
