Job Title : QC Head (Reporting to CEO)

Position Overview :

- The QC Manager/Head, reporting directly to the CEO, will have end-to-end responsibility for leading and overseeing all quality control activities within our manufacturing shop floor operations. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of fabrication processes, a commitment to quality, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities : 

- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute the company's quality control strategy, aligning it with organizational goals.

- Lead and manage the quality control department, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.

- Continuously assess and improve quality control processes to optimize product quality, reduce defects, and enhance operational efficiency.

- Oversee the inspection and testing of fabricated components and finished products, ensuring they meet or exceed quality standards.

- Ensure that the company's quality control practices and products conform to all relevant industry regulations, certifications, and customer requirements.

- Collaborate with suppliers to enhance the quality of incoming materials and components, and conduct supplier audits when necessary.

- Foster collaboration with other departments, such as engineering, production, and procurement, to drive a culture of quality throughout the organization.

- Lead investigations into quality issues, conducting thorough root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Generate comprehensive reports on quality control metrics, defects, trends, and improvements for presentation to the CEO and board of directors.

- Manage the quality control department's budget, including resource allocation, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management) preferred.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in fabrication and manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior quality control leadership role.

- Extensive knowledge of fabrication processes, industry standards, and quality control methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence at all organizational levels.

- Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO) and quality control tools.

- Relevant certifications in quality control or related fields are highly desirable.
