Head - Manufacturing (18-30 yrs)
Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Define and execute manufacturing and supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
- Drive cost optimization through localization, value engineering and process improvements.
- Lead sustainability initiatives - waste reduction, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly materials.
- Build, mentor and lead a high-performing team across production, quality, planning, purchase, and logistics.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure market responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead end-to-end manufacturing operations, production planning, material planning and supply chain activities across in-house units and vendor locations.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, capacity plans, inventory control mechanisms, productivity, efficiency and cost targets to consistently achieve revenue and delivery targets.
- Drive implementation of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Industry 4.0 practices.
- Spearhead process optimization and continuous improvement programs to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor quality systems across processes to meet global standards and minimize defects.
- Oversee new product industrialization, tooling, and scaling-up of production for timely launches.
- Establish new product production mechanism, manage equipment trials and installations, and ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines for market entry.
- Oversee procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables; build strong vendor partnerships. Drive supplier performance and vendor engagement to improve lead times, enhance quality, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Oversee the deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), RFID-based traceability, and digital tools for error-free tracking, scheduling, and compliance.
- Implement advanced inventory management practices to optimize working capital and reduce carrying costs.
- Optimize inventory across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to balance cost and service.
- Lead workforce skill development programs, building multi-skilled teams, enhancing qualification matrix scores, and ensuring safety compliance with zero incidents.
