Head - Mechanical Design (10-20 yrs)
Main Responsibilities :
- Carry out detailed mechanical design work including 3D modelling, preparation of 2D drawing for manufacturing, simulation, design verification testing as required.
- Design & develop technical solutions for new elevator products (Mechanical components/subsystems including systems integration aspects)
- According defined technical requirements (form, fit and function etc.)
- Work in aspects of cost optimized manufacturing
- According defined quality, time and budget
- Responsible for the specification compliance of designs.
- Responsible for preparing and presenting mechanical designs at design reviews.
- Responsible for meeting design to cost figures
- Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner
- Ensures the mechanical design output fits in with all other aspects of the design
- Prepare technical solutions, designs, KAs, documentation etc.
- Takes over the lead for projects / tasks within product scope of the section
- Identify activities of efficiency improvement and develop best demonstrated practice
- Detail component planning of assigned projects/tasks effort estimation and budget
- Apply corporate procedures, ON's, TN's and internal guidelines
- Apply defined CAx/PDM methods
- Work closely with stakeholders, EPM & Testing dept.
- Maintain quality of deliverables as per defined guidelines.
- Ensure design compliance to standards and codes.

Desired Candidate Profile :
- Candidate should have Bachelors/Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10-20 years of experience in Sheet metal component design
