Head - Operations & Maintenance (20-30 yrs)
Position : Head - Operations and Maintenance
Location : Delhi
Job Description :
- Ensure overall Operations and Maintenance of the Power Plants (Punjab, Haryana & Rajasthan)
- Responsible for ensuring preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and major maintenance of plant system and equipment.
- Manage, control, and guide Plant O&M teams to achieve maximum productivity with due importance to safety and environmental requirements.
- Analyse the root causes of equipment failure and provide suggestions for improvements to avoid breakdowns.
- Plan and maintain spares required for the section with optimum inventory without compromising plant availability.
- Propose/execute modification of plant and equipment to improve productivity/availability.
- Plan, propose, and execute capital projects to improve the availability and heat rate of the plant.
- Plan, prepare, and administer departmental & section budgets.
- Planning and budgeting for spares required for maintenance of various equipment.
- Coordinate with the Operation Department and implement prudent maintenance plans to ensure optimum performance of the Plant and achieve targeted results.
- Record all events/activities and provide periodical reports to the management.
Skills & Competencies Required :
- Should be able to handle activities like plant monitoring, efficiency, fuel management, manpower planning, PPA compliance, coordination with electricity authorities for load, good relations at load dispatch, emergency handling, etc.
- Should be aware of transmission networks, power evacuation, basics of power trading, open access power, etc.
- Should have experience in preventive maintenance planning, and should be well versed with maintenance activities in civil/electrical/C&I equipment.
- Should be aware of scheduled maintenance activities of large power plants.
- Should have experience in handling mechanical maintenance of boilers/turbines & auxiliaries, pressure parts etc.
