Our organization has been entrusted with the mandate to identify and select two senior-level leaders for our esteemed client - a Tier-1 Auto Ancillary company specializing in advanced Forging-based components.

The client is seeking highly experienced manufacturing professionals with strong expertise in machining processes, large-scale workforce management, and full Profit Centre accountability.

Position: Head - Manufacturing Operations

The incumbent will be responsible for the complete oversight of plant operations, including machining lines, manpower management, operational excellence, and financial performance. This role requires exceptional machining knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of enhancing output, quality, and EBITDA.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end machining operations across CNC turning, grinding, gear machining, and heat treatment.

- Achieve and continuously improve OEE, productivity, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

- Drive operational excellence through TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, line balancing, and waste elimination.

- Strengthen process capability with robust PPM reduction, APQP, and PPAP adherence.

- Oversee complete plant profitability including EBITDA improvement, cost optimization, and P&L alignment.

- Build and lead high-performance teams, fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and ownership.

Technical Expertise Required

- CNC Turning & Machining Centers

- Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping & Power Skiving

- Cylindrical and Centerless Grinding

- Gear Grinding (Reishauer / H- fler / Gleason or equivalent)

- Heat Treatment processes - Carburising, Carbonitriding, Hardening & Tempering

- Preferred exposure to shafts, gears, EV motor components, and transmission parts

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum 20 years- experience in Automotive Tier-1 manufacturing is essential.

- Strong exposure to TPM, Lean, OEE, and customer-specific quality systems including APQP and PPAP.

- Proven experience in managing 300- 500+ employees and multi-shift operations.

- A young, dynamic, disciplined, and results-driven professional with strong leadership presence.

- This role will oversee three manufacturing units, all located within close proximity, with a combined team strength of over 500 employees.
