Head - Process Design & Mechanical - Sugar Industry (20-26 yrs)
Experience: 22+ years in Design Engineering - Sugar Industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mechanical & Process Design teams for sugar plant projects.
- Provide technical leadership in designing sugar industry equipment like Mill, carriers, fibrizors, clarifiers, evaporators, crystallizers, centrifugal machines, condensers, boilers, etc.
- Ensure designs meet industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Proposals, Projects, Procurement, and Site Execution.
- Review and approve detailed design documents, drawings, and calculations.
- Innovate and drive value engineering initiatives to optimize performance and cost.
- Coordinate with global clients, consultants, and site teams for technical discussions and resolution.
- Mentor and guide design engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and talent development.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality, and documentation protocols.
- Support Marketing/Proposals teams with technical inputs and solution development.
Key Requirements:
- B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Postgraduate qualification in Design/Process (preferred).
- Proven 7-10 years as HOD experience in the Design - Sugar projects with exposure to both process and mechanical aspects
- Strong knowledge of international codes (ASME, API, IS) and software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV Elite, etc.).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
