Head-Procurement/Materials urgently.

Leading Global Turbine Generators company is looking for a Head-Procurement/Materials urgently.

Key/Must haves are :

Qualification : B.E- Mechanical

Work Experience : 20 years +

Planning & Budgeting :

- Manage entire purchase related operations with a view to achieve business objectives ensuring bottom line profitability.

- Formulating budgets & developing procurement strategies to meet sourcing requirements.

Procurement / Sourcing :

- Develop and implement key purchase / procurement strategies, contingency plans and alignment with project requirements.

- Identify & develop supplier base for timely procurement of materials.

- Prepare contract execution procedure, purchase schedules for procurement of materials and spares.

- Negotiating & finalizing terms & condition of contracts, agreements, terms of payment, liquidated damages, Performance Guarantee, cancellation clauses and legal implications, if any.

- Issue technical & commercial quotation requests, evaluate and prepare quotation summary.

- Rate negotiation and preparation of technical & commercial evaluation sheet.

- Co-ordinate with expeditors, engineering, production & suppliers for smooth flow of materials in line with project schedule.

Materials Planning :

- Ensure optimum level of inventory for achieving cost savings. Prepare & adhere to norms for stocking as well as preservation of materials.

- Prepare & communicate rolling plans to suppliers for better planning.

- Preparation of supplier list and pre-screening vendors.

Supplier Development :

- Developing potential suppliers based on Supplier evaluation / assessment, Supplier performance rating for vendor localization / indi-genization.

- Constantly monitor & conducting periodic assessment of supplier performance to ensure adherence to pre-defined specification of quality, cost, delivery & service.

International Contracting :

- Manage all activities from request for quotation, bid evaluation (technical & commercial), shortlisting of vendors, finalization of commercial conditions, drafting of contract, Final negotiation & Award of contract.
