Our client is a leading Timber and Plywood producer in Papua New Guinea.
Designation : Head of Procurement
Location : Bulolo (Morobo Province-Papua New Guinea)
Job Description :
- Responsible for all activities of the Purchasing Department.
Procurement of all supplies with particular emphasis on :
- Timber processing parts
- Heavy mobile plant spares
- Light vehicle spares
- Hardware stock
- Consumables
- Cost control of local and foreign purchasing against budgets.
- Development of the Purchasing Department towards increased efficiency.
- Stock Control.
- Ensure orders are supplied and transported/shipped in a timely manner.
- Liaise with other Departments to ensure continuity of supply.
- Supervision and training of staff.
- Carry out other relevant duties as necessary.
- Must be prepared to be involved in a hands-on role when needed.
Qualification : Graduate/PG in Purchasing/Logistics Management.
Age Group : 30-45 years
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Must have 10 years procurement/purchasing/logistics experience.
- Must have suitable supervisory experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Must be focused and highly motivated.
- Ability to train and motivate staff.
- Fit and healthy with a good work ethic.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Status : Bachelor
Contract : 2 years
The Compensation Package will include Gross Package + Accommodation + Transportation + Medical Insurance + Yearly Air fare passage
