Head - Product Engineering - Auto (15-20 yrs)
Head - Product Engineering
Primary responsibilities :
- Ensure team deliverables are met in timely & efficient manner. Team Deliverables include;
- Product Designing ; Concept, Proto, Production Designs including Design Reviews, Verifications
- Product Testing & Validation ; Visualising Testing/ Validation requirements, planning & executing
- New Product Development
- Continuous Product Improvement ; cost reductions, quality improvements, value engineering.
- Engineering Documentation & Change Management ; Product Life Cycle Management
- Provide Technical expertise and guidance to the team
- Lead and Manage the Product Engineering Team; People and Team Processes Management
Key Deliverables :
- Development of New Product & Designs to the Product Plan & Targets
- Timely execution of Product development / Improvement activities
- Efficient and Effective functioning of Process Engineering Team
- Efficiency & Effectiveness parameters of the team
Experience :
- 15 to 20 years experience ; min 10 years in Product Design & Development, of which at least 5 years in Team Leadership position. Must have displayed technical decision making ability.
- Proven Design & Development experience essential.
- Preference for experience in original designs, patent generation.
