Head - Quality Control/Process Improvement - Chemical (10-15 yrs)
Hiring for Indian Leading Manufacturer of Specialty Chemicals /producers of Synthetic Emulsion Polymers in India
Position: Head - QC
Location: Taloja - Navi Mumbai
Reporting to: General Manager - Works
M.Sc. Chemistry / M Tech Candidates with 10 - 15 yrs work experience.
- Strong exposure in Emulsion Polymerization.
- Specially all testing equipment to generate performance data to provide the same to the customer and to enrich the data bank on performance; Upgrade test facilities, demonstration of test facilities to visitor / customers;
- Knowledge on ISO 9001:2008; ISO 14001:2004; 18001:2007, TPM, Responsible Care
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
QC Activities - Ensure the QC activities for RM, in-process materials, finished products; authorize finished products dispatch; total compliance to ISO system; control of shift activities; control of chemicals and glassware in order to facilitate the quality product manufacture. Controlling and monitoring of inspections records compile a monthly report for QC department. Ensure timely testing of FG, RM, in-process solution and its subsequent login in SAP to avoid delay in dispatches. To capture and report the product deviation along with CAPA. Re-look at all our processes in the QC department and suggest improvements.
Internal Customer Management - Arrange any special testing for production, technical service, R&D sections for those department's requirements in order to improve internal customer satisfaction. Asses the quality control and quality control plan at shop floor. To analyze and reduce sampling frequency along with the manufacturing function. To find out innovative ways to make testing in an efficient manner.
New Vendor Development/vendor audit - Develop vendor as per annual plan, conduct vendor visits as per schedule and give vendor rating in order to get quality RM from the approved vendor. Independently carry out innovation projects towards cost reduction and quality improvement. To analyse and narrow down the Specification of RM to ensure right quality of RM.
Customer satisfaction - Complete knowledge of customer requirements, specifications in order to dispatch the right quality products to the right customers and achieve total customer satisfaction. To ensure right dispatch of product at the time of delivery along with store function. Owning and leading Deviations i.e. finding resolutions by coordinating between R&D and Plant teams.
Raw Material & FG- Review and control of Raw Material /Finished product specs /MSDS. To monitor the aging report of RM and FG and ensure timely consumption of RM and FG. To monitor non-moving FG and RM and its timely consumption/disposal. Re-look at all our Plant processes and suggest improvements - almost like a process controller.
IMS system and training - Responsible for IMS compliance, TPM implementation, and training of subordinates. Leadership and communication capabilities to lead plant initiatives like IMS (MR position), TPM, and Green Manufacturing.
Instrument Utility - Optimally utilize all the resources, specially all testing equipment to generate performance data to provide the same to the customer and to enrich the data bank on performance; Upgrade test facilities, train the subordinates on the test equipment, demonstration of test facilities to visitor / customers; To ensure and control the calibration of all equipment
QEOH&S System - Follow procedures, close non-compliance, implement preventive & corrective actions, update evaluation procedures in order to ensure the effectiveness of QEOH&S/ Identifications of aspects/ Hazards, Risks ensuring effective operation controls.
Customer requirements - Thorough knowledge of customer requirements, Company products characteristics in order to fulfill the existing customer quality requirements and give inputs to R&D team. To report the customer complaints along with its CAPA. Owning and leading Customer complaints i.e. finding resolutions by coordinating between R&D, Plant and Sales teams
People Management - Appraise & provide feedback to subordinates; identify & impart functional training. Monitoring of budget expenses and make report quarterly
