Head - Quality/Senior Quality Engineer (3-8 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with IATF/ISO standards.
- Plan, prepare, and face customer and third-party audits successfully.
- Drive in-process quality control, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance, ensuring compliance with automotive standards.
- Lead a team of quality engineers/inspectors; provide guidance, training, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with production, design, and customer teams to resolve quality issues.
- Handle supplier quality management, incoming material inspection, and vendor audits.
- Prepare and review quality documentation, reports, and customer communications.
- Establish and track KPIs related to rejection rate, customer complaints, warranty issues, etc.
Requirements:
- Education: BE/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience: 8-12 years for Sr. Quality Engineer / 12+ years for HOD Quality.
- Strong knowledge of QMS (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and other automotive quality tools.
- Hands-on experience in audits, supplier quality, and customer complaint resolution.
- Experience in automotive / weather strip / rubber/plastic components industry preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional activities.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
