With the merger to this us$ 5 billion electronics venture, the company aims to substantially boost the inhouse capabilities and help - make in India flourish with the venture in the electronics sector.
Key Experience :
We are looking for the Head of Quality equipped with more than 15 years of experience in leading strategic quality imperatives & process improvement initiatives. Professionals with demonstrated experience in Quality and coming from engineering management/ manufacturing/ electronics/ automotive industries will be most suitable for the role.
Primary Role : 
-  Lead quality initiatives, design internal process improvements using formal techniques and manage quality risks in such a way that any adverse impact is mitigated proactively.
-  Lead the team in Quality & Process Excellence - Process definition, Implementation, Auditing, Metrics management, Process improvements and Customer Satisfaction 
-  Coaching and Mentoring of Cross functional Managers on Quality & Project Management Concepts 
-  Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices
-  Finalize the department budget, ensure adherence and minimize operating costs and overheads
-  Monitor costs due to rejections and rework and support other departments in managing the same
-  Ensure preparation of timely and accurate counter measures to address customer issues
-  Conduct periodic visits to the customers to ensure that any critical issues are addresses on priority
-  Conduct periodic visits to the suppliers to ensure ongoing improvement and quality in service
-  Monitor in-process quality by setting standards and supporting the production teams to adhere to the same
-  Ensure that patrol inspection schedules are adhered to, and review the inspection reports on a periodic basis
-  Review customer/supplier rejection reports and ensure implementation of action plans
-  Ensure quality of incoming material from all vendors 
-  Review the standard operating procedures periodically to ensure compliances and standards are met
-  Lead the quality audits by coordinating with all departments and ensuring effective implementation of the same
-  Ensure timely completion of all stages of performance appraisal process
-  Take responsibility for people development initiatives and building in-house capabilities for the employees in the department
-  The KRAs for this position will be based on cost optimization, business excellence, reduction in product rejections, adherence to timelines, % deviation from quality standards, MIS, quality audit, customer satisfaction, employee productivity amongst other measures
Key Skills :
-  10+ years of demonstrated leadership in a Quality or Engineering Management role
-  Project Management experience necessary
-  Procedure formulation for stage and final quality inspection to reduce rejection / rework
-  Knowledge of Quality Control Practices
-  Knowledge of Sampling plans and techniques.
-  Quality assurance practices and procedures
-  Experience with managing quality processes, customer experience teams and/or projects in software, technical support or services.
-  Ability to manage multiple projects and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
-  System Thinking
-  Flexible and adaptable, adjusts to changing priorities in fast-growth, dynamic environment.
-  Exceptional negotiation, motivational, relationship building and client service skills.
-  Articulate and Excellent Communication skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications : 
-  Bachelor Studies in Engineering/ Electronics
-  12-15 years of experience in Quality with significant years in a leadership capacity
